Trekking to the summit of Valentine Mountain involves conquering 90 or so uphill steps, which can be steep at times, but a handrail is provided during the worst of it. The summit has picnic tables, as well as another trail that allows visitors to explore the circumference of the peak. The summit is a fabulous place to watch the sunset, but those who do should be sure to bring a strong flashlight, as it gets dark very quickly and the trail becomes quite shadowed.
