The Knuckleheads Recreation Area

Although known for its milder temperatures, this Powell River area is a snow seekers delight. Part of the Pacific Ranges Coast Mountains, The Knuckleheads is usually blanketed with snow from November to May, with January having the most (10-16 ft). The area is gently sloped (highest elevation is 5500 ft), perfect for snowshoeing, tobogganing and cross-country skiing. There are two winterized cabins that are available for warm up or to host a meal.
