Spring is also pleasant, particularly in south-western British Columbia and the southern interior, however, it is always advisable to carry warmer layers in case of unpredictable weather changes. In the coastal regions, rain gear is advisable throughout the year.
WHERE TO GOLF
Vancouver Island Located off British Columbia's west coast, Vancouver Island offers the mildest climate in Canada, lush forests, unique getaways and some spectacular golf courses.
Victoria, the largest city on the island, is a popular holiday destination and has a range of golf courses to choose from. The Westin Hotel's Bear Mountain Golf Resort is situated minutes from Victoria's Inner Harbour and offers two 18-hole courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son. Both are located at the base of Mount Finlayson. The challenging mountain course is suited to experienced golfers while the valley course offers elevated tee boxes, wider fairways, fewer bunkers and bigger greens, making it easier for those still getting the hang of the sport.
