Unlike most cruises offered in the area, clients make the schedule, the route and the time. The tour operates from a 26' MacGregor sailboat, which is also powered by a motor for those not so windy days. Clients may also request to move with the wind, or turn on the motor and visit specified spots - it's all a matter of choice.

The Discovery Coast Passage is a summer service operated by BC Ferries between Port Hardy and Bella Coola making stops at Bella Bella, Klemtu, Ocean Falls and Shearwater. Outdoor enthusiasts can get off the Queen of Chilliwack, explore the area and reboard the ferry on the following day. Facilities on board include reclining seats, pay showers, a small restaurant and licensed lounge and gift shop.
